Westslope Cutthroat Trout (WSCT) in Alberta are considered Threatened and Alberta Environment and Protected Areas (EPA) is working with partner organizations to reduce or eliminate threats to the species and recover populations across their native range. One tool that can be used to expand populations or improve genetic characteristics of existing populations is recovery stocking.
