25-174 Delta - Structural Condition Assessment

The purpose of this Request for Proposal is to solicit proposals from qualified structural engineering firms to carry out structural condition assessments of multiple civic facilities. The City of Delta wishes to benchmark the structural condition of its civic buildings, assess compliance with the BC Building Code 2024 and relevant seismic retrofit guidelines, and identify recommended upgrades and associated costs. The results will inform the City’s Asset Management Plan and long-term capital planning.

The goal is to identify a consultant to carry out structural assessments of City facilities over the next two to five years as annual budgets allow. A facility list is provided in Appendix C. There may be facilities that are not on the list but are later added for review. The buildings highlighted are those the City would like to have assessed in 2025, but that list may be expanded or reduced based on the results of the Request for Proposal. The City intent is to continue with additional facilities – under the agreed pricing structure - over the following years should service remain satisfactory and should budgets allow
