Description

This is an RfB to acquire the services of an experienced primary care physician who is licenced and in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) to act as the physician representative on the Northern Health Travel Grant (NHTG) Medical Appeals Committee (MAC).
Scope of Work
The Ministry of Health (the “ministry”) requires services of an experienced primary care physician who is licenced and in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) to act as the physician representative on the Northern Health Travel Grant (NHTG) Medical Appeals Committee. The Medical Appeals Committee is comprised of two clinicians familiar with local context and geography.

The scope of the Committee is to review medical / clinical considerations for exceptions to the approved eligibility parameters of the NHTG program. The Committee may also take northern Ontario context (geographical and climatic/weather-related) into account, but only insofar as it relates to the medical/clinical considerations of a particular case under review.

Services will be required immediately upon the award of contract.
