Description

The City is seeking proposals from experienced Proponents for a solution with the capabilities to supply, implement, and support a Collections Management System (CMS). The CMS RFP project aims to replace the existing CMS with an industry leading web-based, off-the-shelf, SaaS solution to support and optimize collections management processes and data collection that meet industry standards for The City of Calgary Public Art Collection. The Collection consists of approximately 1300 artworks, including permanently installed indoor and outdoor works and indoor portable works. The current CMS is an on-prem system that has been in use since 2012. The Public Art team is interested in transitioning to a web and cloud-based solution that can modernize processes, enhance efficiency and the end user experience, make data easily accessible, and publish collection data online for the public.
