Description

The Corporation of the City of Fernie invites qualified and experienced Proponents to prepare and submit competitive proposals for curbside collection and transport of garbage, recycling and organics from single-family and up to four-plex residential properties in Fernie to designated disposal facilities, along with the maintenance of the carts.
The Services are to commence on the Service Commencement Date of May 1, 2026 for a period of five years, with one optional, one-year contract extension, at the sole discretion of the of the City. During the life of this agreement, the City may expand this program to include additional customers. The City may negotiate directly with the successful Proponent of this RFP and award the additional collection at its sole discretion.
