Supply Ontario (SO) believes that the following procurement qualifies as a sole source or single source procurement. The purpose of this Advanced Contract Award Notice (ACAN) is to determine if there are other proponents capable of meeting the requirements of the procurement for the following supplies.

Supply Ontario (SO) believes that the following procurement qualifies as a sole source or single source procurement. The purpose of this Advanced Contract Award Notice (ACAN) is to determine if there are other proponents capable of meeting the requirements of the procurement for the following supplies.

Vendor: SterileCare Inc
Product: Kitelock 4%, Catheter Locking Solution
Purpose: Keep the catheter open by preventing clots and infection between uses.

SO is seeking to develop an agreement for a Health Canada approved Catheter Locking Solution which can be used to reduce the risk of Central Line-Associated Bloodstream Infection (CLABSIs) and prevent blockages in catheter. The product must be able to prevent and eradicate biofilms.

SO believes that there is only one supplier capable of supplying the required product in the Canadian Market. SO intends to award a 2-year term contract to SterileCare Inc for the product described in the ACAN attachment.
