Royal Roads University is seeking one qualified and experienced food service provider to operate and manage the Habitat Café at the Colwood campus and deliver comprehensive internal and external event catering services. The successful Proponent will be responsible for providing high-quality, flexible, and scalable food services that meet the diverse needs of students, staff, and visitors, while supporting the University’s academic, community, and event programming. The scope of services includes daily cafeteria operations, internal catering for University-hosted meetings and events, and full-service catering for external events and weddings. Cafeteria services encompass menu development, food preparation, service delivery, point-of-sale operations, sanitation, and regulatory compliance. Menus will reflect nutritional standards, offer a balance of traditional and dietary-specific options, and prioritize local, seasonal, and sustainable sourcing where possible. Internal catering should be capable of supporting events of varying size and complexity across multiple campus locations. External event and wedding catering services will require the provision of customized menus, professional service staff, bar and liquor service, and high-quality standards suitable for formal and historic venues. The successful Proponent will work collaboratively with the University to support event bookings, client engagement, and marketing activities, and will be responsible for managing client catering contracts and service delivery
