AB-2026-01143 - SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF 1 SPECIAL SERVICE VEHICLE (SSV)

Yellowhead County Protective Services is replacing current aging Special Service Vehicle (SSV). This Special Service Vehicle (SSV) will be utilized within the Community under the Protective Services program for Fire/Rescue Services. This vehicle will respond to a number of different incidents. The function of this (SSV) provides first due Emergency response to any scenes Fire/Rescue Services respond to.

The County is looking to purchase 1 Special Service Vehicle (SSV), this vehicle can be a stock unit or demo and shall be of excellent quality as to workmanship and material used. The Respondent represents that all equipment offered in the bid shall be new, and shall meet or exceed all Provincial, Federal, and NFPA standards and requirements. The County does currently have 8 Special Service Vehicles Inservice throughout Yellowhead County. Yellowhead County has a replacement schedule for all vehicles used by Protective Services. Due to the replacement schedule the current (SSV) is being replaced. All Staff are trained in the use of these units. The (SSV) must come fully assembled, tested and ready for immediate use in a hazardous environment.

The County currently has 8 Special Service Vehicles in use and based on the replacement schedule needs to replace an aged out (SSV). The Special Service Vehicle (SSV) must meet all Provincial, Federal, and applicable NFPA standards and requirements. The supplier must demonstrate previous experience and build types. Once the lowest price is determined, subject to the County’s satisfaction in relation to warranty, delivery times, and the supplier being within 300 kilometers of Yellowhead County, for the Special Service Vehicle, the successful quote provider will be notified.
