The National Research Council Canada (NRC) wishes to award Standing Offer for goods/services to support NRC’s on going repair and maintenance requirements for our current inventory of ASML Steppers. ASML is the original equipment manufacturer of our current inventory of ASML Steppers and only technicians from ASML have the required knowledge and expertise to carry out any inspections, maintenance and on-going repairs. In addition only OEM parts and components will work in conjunction with our current inventory of Steppers. ASML does not have any value added resellers or certified OEM repair centres. Only ASML is able to satisfy this requirement for on-going parts and service by virtue of a highly skilled technicians, expertise and Intellectual property with ASML Steppers. In addition only ASML employees are authorized and able to preserve the integrity of data affiliated with the steppers and have access to genuine ASML parts and components.

ASML is a Dutch company and currently the largest supplier in the world of photolithography systems for the semiconductor industry. The company manufactures machines for the production of integrated circuits (ICs), such as CPUs, DRAM memory, flash memory. The photolithography machines manufactured by ASML are used in the production of computer chips. In these machines, patterns are optically imaged onto a silicon wafer that is covered with a film of light-sensitive material (photoresist). This procedure is repeated dozens of times on a single wafer. The photoresist is then further processed to create the actual electronic circuits on the silicon.

Supplier: ASML 2350 Bering Drive San Jose CA 95131 There is no IP with this maintenance contract. NRC reserves the right to negotiate with the supplier directly. The estimated contract value is to a maximum of 2 million dollars over the course of 5 years.

The level of effort for this contract is “Suppliers who consider themselves fully qualified and available to provide the services/goods described herein, may submit a statement of capabilities in writing to the contact person identified in this Notice on or before the closing date of this Notice.

The statement of capabilities must clearly demonstrate how the supplier meets the advertised requirements.
