Public Works and Government Services Canada has a requirement for Elevator Upgrades at the Northwest Atlantic Fisheries Centre, St. John's, NL. The work includes all labour and material required to provide the various upgrades to the five (5) hydraulic elevators.
This work includes but is not limited to new car door operator, door locks, relating system, door closers and hardware, new pit ladders, new shut off valves and blow out valves, new car apron plates, new pit lighting system and new GFIC receptacles.
Only bids from contractors whose name is on the List of Pre-Qualified Elevator Maintenance Contractors for the following categories of equipment:
Hydraulic Elevators, for the province of Newfoundland and Labrador will be considered for this solicitation. A contractor whose name is not on the List of Pre-qualified Elevating Devices Maintenance Contractors may apply for pre-qualification.
Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) will publish a Letter of Interest (LOI) on the Government Electronic Tendering Service once a year to invite contractors to pre-qualify against one or more categories of equipment in the specified geographic areas. It takes approximately three months from the time the LOI is published to complete the pre-qualification process.
Contractors who are successful will be added to the List of Pre Qualified Elevating Devices Maintenance Contractors and will be eligible to bid on future solicitations for Elevating Devices Maintenance Contracts.

There will be a scheduled site visit, please refer to the solicitation document for the date and time. It is recommended that bidders visit the site and its surroundings and verify the form, nature and extent of the work, the means to access the site, and in general obtain all necessary information as to risks, contingencies and other circumstances prior to submitting bid. 2.
