The work site is located at the Balsam Bay Public Wharf on the east shore of Lake Winnipeg, Balsam Bay, Manitoba

The work under this contract covers the following, as more fully described in the plans and specifications:

1) Demolition and removal of designated portions of existing concrete deck on wharf and wharf

approach to lines and grades indicated.

2) Remove designated steel curb and all related hardware. 3) Remove and salvage 2 aluminum gangways. Temporarily relocate designated section of float

wharves and provide access to shore with float wharves supplied by Owner, located in Selkirk,

MB. Contractor responsible for transporting floats and aluminum gangway supplied by Owner from

Selkirk to Balsam Bay. Maintain access and floats during construction. After construction on

wharf is completed reinstall relocated floats, reinstall 2 aluminum gangways (one salvaged and

one constructed supplied by Owner), and return float wharves and one salvaged aluminum

gangway to Selkirk. 4) Supply and install granular base to lines and grades indicated. 5) Supply and install new concrete deck to lines and grades indicated. 6) Supply and install new timber curbing and related works as indicated. 7) Remove designated portion of existing steel safety ladders and supply and install new steel

ladders as indicated. 8) Remove, salvage, and reinstall 4 light poles. 9) Supply and install new electrical system, flood lights and pedestal enclosures.

OPTIONAL SITE VISIT There will be an optional site visit on Tuesday, April 11th, 2017 at 10:30 am. Interested bidders are to meet at the Balsam Bay Public Wharf on the east shore of Lake Winnipeg, Balsam Bay, Manitoba.

Bidders are responsible for obtaining copies of bid forms, special instructions and amendments issued prior to bid closing, and are to ensure they are addressed in the submitted bid.

This procurement contains mandatory requirements. Failure to comply may result in rejection of your bid.
