Liquid Handling Systems, Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Public Health Agency of Canada, the National Laboratory for HIV Reference Services (NLHRS), Winnipeg, Manitoba has a requirement for the supply, delivery and offloading of two (2) Bench-top Liquid Handling Systems with flexibility in tube type, size, input volume and aliquoting volume meeting the Minimum Performance Specifications herein.

The purpose of the first liquid handler is for clean room mastermix preparation (no 'template', therefore no risk of cross contamination for sensitive PCR assays). The NLHRS Molecular Diagnostics is ISO accredited and runs in-house PCRs for molecular testing. An automated liquid handler would not only save time but it would also standardize reagent preparation.

The second instrument would be located outside of the clean room to use for the preparation of proficiency testing samples for the programs run by the NLHRS. Each panel of over 1000 tubes must be aliquoted for distribution to Canadian and International laboratories.

Delivery is mandatory to be no later than March 31, 2014.
