Nature of Requirements:

The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement.

The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) is looking for psychiatrists to deliver ambulatory services for inmates incarcerated at all the Quebec institutions and inmates in the community at Martineau,

Laferrière, Marcel Caron CCC and Ville Marie bureau in accordance with the applicable laws and standards governing psychiatric services and practices in the province of Quebec.

The psychiatrists must be available for on-call services in all Quebec Region institutions and at Martineau CCC and Laferrière CCC only.

Objectives:

CSC Health services needs to provide efficient and effective health care services to the delinquents’, proning their individual responsibility, favouring a healthy reintegration into the community and contribute to safety within the collectivity. Psychiatric ambulatory care is etched within these objectives with respect to our obligations regarding the deliverance of essential services in mental health and with a reasonable access to non essential services.

Deliverable reports:

• The Psychiatrist will write the progress notes of all clinical interventions on the appropriate forms (CSC 0056) following the client meeting in accordance with CD 835. • The Psychiatrist will write a final report according to the template within fifteen (15) working days following the psychiatric discharge for every inmate evaluated or treated. • Reports may be requested for reasons other than the cessation of treatment such as: bilan pour le Tribunal Administratif du Québec, évaluation pour le Curateur Public du Québec, evaluations needed for the administration of treatment against the will of the inmate etc. These reports need to be written in accordance with the subject requested. • National CSC formulary for prescriptions ( request for exception - medication not found on the formulary )
