Description

The City of Calgary is seeking proposals from qualified suppliers to supply and deliver portable gas detection monitoring units and related support equipment for the purposes of gas detection in confined spaces.

Required equipment includes portable gas detection monitoring units, bump testing.

On-going technical product support and staff training will also be required.

The highest rated proponent will be requested to enter into negotiations for an Agreement with The City for the provision of the Deliverables. It is The City’s intention to enter into an Agreement with only one (1) legal entity. The term of the Agreement may include a PoC, with an option in favour of The City to renew the Agreement on the same terms and conditions for an initial term of up to one (1) year. After the initial term, The City will have an option to renew the Agreement on the same terms and conditions for four (4) additional one (1) year terms for a potential total term of 5 years. It is anticipated that the Agreement will be executed within 30 days from the date the highest rated proponent is notified that it is the Negotiations Proponent.

This procurement process is intended to create a formal legally binding bidding process and will not be governed by the law applicable to direct commercial negotiations.
