18-1565 - Alberta Bicycle Facility Design Legislative Review

The City of Calgary, working with Alberta Transportation, Rocky View
county, the City of Edmonton, the City of Red Deer and the Town of
Canmore, is seeking a consulting firm to complete a legislative review of
relevant sections of the Alberta Traffic Safety Act and associated
regulations, to see what changes to legislation would be necessary to
implement the designs and best practices recommended in the Alberta

This procurement process is not intended to create and will not create a formal legally binding bidding process and will instead be governed by the law applicable to direct commercial negotiations.

The term of the Agreement will be (i) for the period of time required to complete the scope of services as set out in the Scope and Fee Schedule, or (ii) for the time frame specified in the Information Table.
If indicated in the Information Table and agreed to by the parties, the Agreement may include a number of project Phases. In such case, unless expressly stated in the Agreement Letter, the initial award under this RFP will only be for the first Phase of the Requirements. After completion of the first or any subsequent Phase, The City may elect to extend the Agreement to include a subsequent Phase. In such case, The City and Consultant will collaboratively negotiate the scope and expected timelines for that subsequent Phase, and document the same in a supplemental Scope and Fee Schedule.
The City’s form of Agreement Letter is included in Appendix A together with The City’s Consulting General Conditions and other terms and conditions, which will form the basis for the Agreement.
