Description

The City of Lethbridge electrical department recently completed the full deployment of a Honeywell (Elster) AMI meter system consisting of 36,500 residential meters, and 3,200 commercial meters. Currently, 15 minute interval data showing voltage and power levels is available, and all data associated with the meters is now being gathered via a Honeywell Connexo Netsense headend system residing on private servers within the city. The data is captured in an XML data format, and the city does not plan to provide any additional data formatting. As more and more meter data flows into the system, it now becomes more critical to the electrical utility to utilize that data to the best potential possible. It is the desire of the electrical department to team with a software vendor who can bring another layer of functionality to the AMI system by providing analytics functionality by gathering and processing raw meter data in a user friendly format.
