Description

RFB for the Enumeration of Phytoplankton from Ontario Lakes.

Enumeration and taxonomic identification of freshwater phytoplankton by microscope is needed to support several ministry programs that have long-term monitoring of phytoplankton communities in Ontario Lakes. Programs include oligotrophic lakes in the regions of Sudbury and Muskoka as well as Lake Simcoe. Quantification of cell numbers and images of taxa are required for up to 100 lake water samples. The Vendor is responsible for shipment of the samples to their laboratory. The vendor must pass a preliminary quality review of the analytical capabilities prior to analysis of any samples.
