21PTC002 - Provincial Air Tanker Base System Operations Supervisor

Alberta Agriculture and Forestry (AAF), has a mandate to detect, report, manage, suppress and prevent wildfires within Alberta. Wildfire Telecommunications and Facilities (WTF), within Wildfire Management Branch constructs, operates and maintains a network of facilities in strategic locations throughout the Province of Alberta in order to achieve this mandate. The facilities require construction, upgrades and maintenance throughout the year to ensure readiness for when needed and meet all provincial and federal codes and standards. These critical facilities include but are not limited to Air Tanker Bases, Fire Bases, Fix Detection Locations, Telecommunication Sites, Weather Stations, Staff Accommodations, Warehouses, etc.

In order to guarantee that these facilities are fully operational and maintained, the province requires the services of a Provincial Air Tanker Base System Operations Supervisor to provide services at various locations throughout the Province of Alberta on an “as-needed� basis, with no guarantee of work.
