Travel Alberta will engage ICOM Productions with the licensing of a software solution to host the current ASP online training program and the content, including the client facing training program and backend CRM as well as content updates and ongoing improvements to align with Travel Alberta’s strategy and evolving export ready experiences across the province. The Alberta Specialist Program was developed by ICOM productions in 2014 to support Travel Alberta’s Business Development Team by extending the reach and detail of training and education on Alberta tourism products and experiences. The Travel Alberta Business Development team works to increase tourism revenues to Alberta through working with 3rd party travel providers, such as tour operators, travel agents and online travel agencies (OTAs) and the ASP provides a significant resource to train the staff of travel providers on Alberta’s top destinations and experiences. This additional education offers increased inspiration to sell Alberta tourism products to their clients around the world. Previous work to build and improve the ASP to date provides ICOM Productions with a strong understanding of the Travel Alberta Business Development Team strategy, the Travel Alberta brand, tone of voice, assets available and how they can be incorporated as well as ability to introduce new innovation with background on the evolution. The program is translated into German and Spanish and is distributed and promoted primarily in Travel Alberta’s core markets of The United States, Germany, The United Kingdom and Mexico
