Introduction
The objective of this document is to solicit proposals so as to enter into a contract for two dedicated multi-engine, IFR equipped, turbine powered fixed-wing aircraft and qualified IFR pilots, as well as a stand-alone hangar facility to house both aircraft, with storage space for equipment and supplies, staff rooms and offices based at the Greater Moncton Romeo Leblanc International Airport (details in Appendix B, page 44). The air ambulance aircraft will be used for the medical transportation
of patients.
The term of the contract is five years, commencing at 00:01 hours January 1st, 2022, with an option to renew the contract for up to 5 additional years, at the discretion of ANB, based on performance. The term of the renewal period(s) shall be determined when awarded and in the aggregate shall not exceed the 5 additional years.
The current contract that provides aircraft and crew for air ambulance services based at the Greater Moncton Romeo Leblanc International Airport (GMRLIA) located in Dieppe, New Brunswick expires at 23:59 hours on December 31st, 2021. The operational requirement is to provide seamless air ambulance services commencing at 00:01 hours January 1st, 2022.
Ambulance New Brunswick (ANB) is seeking proposals to provide two dedicated multi-engine IFR equipped turbine powered fixed-wing aircraft (one dedicated aircraft and one backup aircraft)and qualified IFR pilots, as well as stand-alone hangar facilities based at the GMRLIA for the provision of air ambulance service twenty-four hours per day, three hundred sixty-five days per year.
In fiscal year 2018/19 (April to March) the service we provided flew approximately 1100 flight hours transporting approximately 500 patient.
