21TDRPFD106 - Peace River Area Primary Fire Base Facilities

Alberta Agriculture and Forestry is responsible for managing wildfires within the Forest Protection Area of Alberta. In order to deliver cost effective wildfire suppression activities, facilities are provided for firefighting resources, and seasonal wildfire staff. Within the Peace River Forest Area (PRFA), fire bases are strategically located throughout the area. These facilities provide pre-suppression placement of resources (Helitack, Unit, and Firetack crews) in a readiness position to respond to initial wildfire starts.

The Province may require rentals of additional trailers at the following bases:

• Chinchaga
• Haig Lake
• Peace River

Services will be required on as-needed basis with no guarantee of work using a call-down list. The call-down list will be established using the Proposal Evaluation Criteria of this RFP with the highest scoring Contractor in the first call position, followed by the second, third, and so on. Upon request by the Province, trailers must be on site, and fully operational within 24 hours off said request.

**Multiple Contracts will be awarded under this RFP**

The facilities must be compliant with legislation including the Public Health Act. They must also meet provincial standards for manpower resources on pre-suppression and suppression duties.
 
Peace River Area Primary Fire Bases may require the following contract rental units:

• Conference / Rec Trailer
• Wellsite engineer trailers
• Washroom trailer with laundry and individual washrooms with showers
• 4-8 person Sleeper units
• Dining trailers
• Service calls
• Generators
• Setup and Teardown of each units/trailers
