Notice is hereby given that Fraser Health Authority (the "FHA"), through their agent Provincial Health Services Authority ("PHSA"), intends to directly award to the following supplier to provide two (2) Atom Dual Incu I Incubators estimated value of $103,040.00.

In accordance with applicable trade agreements, PHSA, as agent for the FHA has chosen not to proceed with a competitive process for the following reason:
- the goods or services can be supplied only by the selected supplier and no alternative or substitute exists for the following reason:
(a) for technical reasons the goods or services can be supplied only by a particular supplier and no alternative or substitute exists,
The Royal Columbian Hospital's ("RCH") Neonatal Intensive Care Unit requires two ATOM Dual Incu I Incubators for the following reasons; resuscitation, intra facility transport to other areas of facility as required and daily use within the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). The ATOM Dual Incu I incubator has an internal battery pack of up to 150 minutes allowing the unit to be utilized in both the Operating Room (OR) and NICU preventing any interruption of monitoring or patient transport which prevents risk to infant. In addition, the unit is light- weight at 25 kgs allowing for safe transport of infants.
