PHSA 03459 - BD MAX Molecular Testing Reagents and Consumables

Notice is hereby given that Fraser Health Authority (the "Health Authority"), through their agent Provincial Health Services Authority ("PHSA"), intends to directly award a Contract to the following supplier to provide BD MAX Consumables for a term of one (1) year at an estimated value of $297,000.00.

In accordance with applicable trade agreements, PHSA, as agent for the Health Authority has chosen not to proceed with a competitive process for the following reason:
· the goods or services can be supplied only by the selected supplier and no alternative or substitute exists for the following reason:
(a) to ensure compatibility with existing products/systems

The Health Authority's Microbiology Laboratory at Surrey Memorial Hospital requires the proprietary consumables to operate their current BD MAX equipment.

Vendors who wish to challenge this decision should submit a detailed written objection for the attention of Steven Berger, Buyer, Lab & Medical Imaging, Allied Health, by email before 2:00pm Pacific Time, August 21, 2020. PHSA will review any and all issues received by this date and provide due consideration to each objection.
