Description

The Alberta Surgical Initiative (ASI) is being implemented by Alberta Health (AH), Alberta Health Services (AHS), surgical specialists, primary care partners, and other stakeholders to ensure that Albertans receive timely access to surgery. The plan includes five key strategies that align with the patient's surgical journey to shape demand and manage capacity for surgery in Alberta.

A key component to achieving this goal is the development and implementation of a comprehensive provincial electronic referral solution (ERS). The ERS will allow a family physician to request a referral right in their own Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system; and then track the entire process from central intake and specialist consultation, through to surgery booking, the operative procedure, hospital discharge, and back to primary care for recovery.

AH is looking to procure a team of resources for this Project, to provide Services under two Senior Business Systems Analyst roles and one RFP writer/coordinator role.
