Description

Water Services, a Business Unit within The City of Calgary, requires the provision of Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) chemical as well as the associated dosing system and storage equipment at the Fish Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP).
Hydrogen peroxide is added to the Fish Creek WWTP diversion flow to assist with odour abatement in the seven (7) kilometer (km) line to the Pine Creek WWTP and to reduce odours at the Pine Creek Plant. A second dosing point is located upstream of the Fish Creek headworks to control hydrogen sulphide (H2S) and odours at the Fish Creek Plant.
The Preferred Proponent will be required to provide a guaranteed delivery of bulk H2O2 on an as-needed basis in order to maintain City stock levels. Hydrogen peroxide is generally added to the wastewater flow from May 01 to October 31 annually.

The highest rated proponent will be requested to enter an Agreement with The City for the provision of the Deliverables. The term of the Agreement may include a Proof of Concept, with an option in favour of The City to renew the Agreement on the same terms and conditions for an initial term of up to two (2) years. After the initial term, The City will have an option to renew the Agreement on the same terms and conditions for four (4) additional two (2) year terms for a potential total term of ten (10) years.

This procurement process is not intended to create and will not create a formal legally binding bidding process and will instead be governed by the law applicable to direct commercial negotiations.
