Description

The intension of this RFP is to award to a Proponent who submits a proposal which, in the sole opinion of the University of Calgary (UCalgary), represents the best overall value.
LCR is seeking proposals from qualified supplier of an Automated Materials Handling System (AMHS) to check-in and sort returned physical items for shelving and delivery. The main library, the Taylor Family Digital Library (TFDL) has four (4) floors where materials are shelved. There are also holds, and seven branch libraries. In 2019, LCR loaned 109,800 physical items. The majority of these items would be returned through the smart book drop and sorted by the AMHS to branches and holds.

The proponent(s) are invited to propose the best (i.e. the most sustainable, flexible, reliable, and scalable) and most cost-effective solution to meet LCR’s requirements while ensuring a high level of service.
