This Request for Proposal (RFP) seeks to establish the successful vendor(s) to provide broadband infrastructure and services to the unserved and underserved communities along the north shore of Lake Huron. Specifically, the HNCEA member communities including Town of Spanish, City of Elliot Lake Township of North Shore, Town of Blind River, Mississauga First Nation, Municipality of Huron Shores, Thessalon First Nation, Town of Thessalon, Town of Bruce Mines, Township of Plummer Additional, Township of Johnson, Township of Tarbutt, Village of Hilton, Township of Macdonald, Meredith & Aberdeen (Echo Bay) and Serpent River First Nation.
Huron North Community Economic Alliance (HNCEA) is made up of member communities working together for regional prosperity and a mission to provide regional and collaborative alliance that promotes economic growth of its communities by coordinating and implementing economic development projects. For the purposes of this RFP, HNCEA has received resolutions of support from the above noted municipalities and First Nations.
Vendor(s) have the sole responsibility to register their intention to bid to ensure they receive any addendum or notifications regarding this RFP. A softcopy of the complete bid submission must be submitted no later than 11:59 P.M. local time (Eastern Standard Time), January 31st, 2020. Submissions received after this date will not be accepted.
Interested parties are asked to email sgeorge@ssmic.com with the subject line “Broadband Infrastructure and Service Improvements, HNCEA” by 11:59 P.M. Tuesday, January 7th, 2020 to register intent to bid and to receive a copy of the RFP document(s).
