Description

Parks Canada Agency is constructing a research and gathering field station in the Peace-Athabasca River Delta in Wood Buffalo National Park located 12 km by boat from Fort Chipewyan, AB. Season 1 (2023) has comprised the issuance of construction contracts for: 1) Installation of Screw Piles; 2) Treated Lumber Framing (walkways); and 3) Cabins and Washrooms. Season 2 design and planning are wrapping up and it is anticipated that the balance of the construction packages will be out for tender fall 2023 for construction in 2024.

SeNa Constructors Inc. is the Construction Manager for the project. This Expression of Interest is being posted to solicit responses from potential vendors (local and non-local) regarding: level of interest; provision of additional detail (if required); structure of construction packages; clarifications potential vendors may require.

The balance of the work includes: 4 stick-frame buildings (Office-220 ft2 / Lab-630 ft2 / Storage-390 ft2 / Kitchen & Hall - 2280 ft2); grey water field and associated plumbing distribution (value estimated $0 - $250k); solar array and associated electrical distribution ($0 - $250k). Expression of Interest feedback is encouraged to gauge level of interest and provide vendors with opportunity to provide input on structure of 2024 construction packages.
Vendors are requested to indicate interest in all or any portion of this work. Responses to this Expression of Interest may result in eligibility for invitational tenders.
