CAP-7184 - Bridge Asset Management (2021)

The Town of Canmore (the Town) is requesting proposals from qualified consultants to provide bridge inspection and engineering services. This work is expected to include inspection of all of Canmore’s bridge inventory in 2021, tender preparation and contract administration, minor additional inspections and engineering work related to ongoing operation of the bridge inventory in the next five years, and any other inspection services required during the five-year period. Any significant new capital project work is specifically excluded from the scope of this RFP.

Proposals are to be tailored for an initial scope of work which includes:

• visual inspection of each of Canmore’s bridges and to provide an inspection report; *
• a lifecycle assessment for regular maintenance, rehabilitation, and replacement schedules including high level estimates of costs;
• recommendations for immediate repairs required;
•  recommendations for the five-year capital rehabilitation plan along with associated costs and a detailed assessment for work recommended for the coming five years; and 
• Preparation of tender documents for BG18 repairs and provision of contract administration services
