2020-10 - Project Management Gap Assessment

In alignment with the Corporate Strategic Direction, Hydro Ottawa is committed to continually reviewing its processes, procedures and organizational structure to identify opportunities for further efficiency improvements. The Distribution Design group, which falls under the division of the Chief Electricity Distribution Officer (CEDO) is responsible for the delivery of Hydro Ottawa’s annual distribution capital budget, has been identified internally as an area requiring review. In order to improve upon existing project management practices specifically related to project oversight and execution, Hydro Ottawa is looking to undertake a Project Management Gap Assessment.

This assessment should generally follow Project Management Institute (PMI) global standards and recommendations shall be in alignment with the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) guide. The assessment shall produce a maturity level result of the groups in accordance with Organizational Project Management Maturity Model (OPM3) or another industry relevant maturity model.
