Invitation to Tender (ITT) for the Chiller # 2 replacement

The Canadian Museum of History (the Museum) is inviting qualified firms to provide Construction Services. The intention of the Museum is to select the Bidder with the lowest compliant Bid who may then be invited to enter into a Contract with the Museum.

The selected Contractor will be required to deliver the Work and Services described in the procurement documents including, but is not necessarily limited to, the supply of labour, material, supervision and equipment necessary to remove a low pressure 320-tons centrifugal chiller #2, R123, SUVA to be replaced with a new state of the art magnetic unit including the addition of VFD and two (2) new automated chilled water control valves inside the central plant.

To be considered, Bids must be received before the Closing Date and Time noted in the MERX ad through the MERX Electronic Bid Submission System. Refer to the Instructions to Bidders for all associated details.

The Security Requirements for this project are identified in the ITT documents.

It is anticipated to provide the Deliverables and complete the work by June 30, 2025 and provide an all-inclusive maintenance contract that shall commence one year after the construction end for a period of 5 consecutive years. Refer to the procurement documents for further details.

Firms that consider themselves qualified to provide these services are invited to submit their Bids on the forms that are available through MERX or as directed in the procurement documents.

Bids may be submitted in either official language of Canada.

Bidders can obtain the award result once posted on MERX.

Failure of a Bidder to attend a Mandatory Site Visit, properly register, sign the Museum Site Visit Sign-In Sheet, arrive on time and remain present for the duration of the Site Visit will entitle the Museum, in its sole discretion, to reject the Bid of that Bidder. Bidders must be present no later than the established site visit time to be eligible to attend the mandatory site visit and submit a Bid.

All individuals attending the site visit must bring their own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as: safety shoes/boots, safety vests, hard hats, safety glasses. Individuals without the appropriate PPE will not be permitted to access the site
