The Purchaser is seeking Proposals from qualified and experienced Proponents for the provision of electrical tooling student kits to support students of the Electrical Techniques program.
The Electrical Techniques program is a one (1) year, two (2)-semester Ontario College Diploma program. Each fall (September), approximately one hundred sixty (160) students are enrolled in the program, and each winter (January), approximately one hundred ten (110) students are enrolled in the program. The student kit for this program is provided to students in the fall and winter semester of their first year and the kit is used for the duration of the program. Successful students from this program are provided the basic tools to enter an apprenticeship program.
It is the intention of the Purchaser to award one Proponent for this procurement process. A Proponent must be able to supply every item required for each student kit mentioned herein. If a Proponent is unable to provide every item required for each student kit based on the specifications mentioned herein, the Proponent may not be considered.
Any specific Goods mentioned and described herein are for the purposes of establishing and describing the general performance and quality levels. Such references are not intended to be restrictive but are necessary to ensure consistency within the program. The tools mentioned and described herein align directly to course outcomes and future program requirements. If Goods, other than the ones specified are proposed, the Proponent may not be considered. The Purchaser shall be the sole judge concerning the merits of Proposals submitted. The Purchaser reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to reject any substitute Goods.
