With over 100 offices spread across Canada, FCC often finds it necessary to relocate employees in order to provide an appropriate level of service to our customers, as well as to develop employees for future leadership roles. Our relocation program serves as an attraction, recruitment and retention tool as well as a support to our succession management planning.
FCC employees work in fast-paced, collaborative environments where how we conduct business is equally as important as what we do. This culture of partnership and accountability exists in our internal relationships as well and are also table stakes for any vendor relationship we enter into. Employees have come to expect this in all their dealings with FCC as an employer. The successful relocation services vendor will act on behalf of FCC, interpreting policy and managing all aspects of the relationship with our relocating employees.
FCC relocates a different number of employees per year and has a total annual budget of $3,000,000 allocated to the program. The current relocation services vendor manages these relationships with the employee from initial contact regarding a pending move to our home guarantee program and everything in between. FCC remains the approval body on all financial aspects of the program but relies on the relocation services vendor to apply our policy.
FCC’s two relocation policies (permanent transfer and temporary transfer) are attached and have been sent as a part of this RFP. If you have not received the two policies, please contact the FCC Procurement contact at the email address listed in this RFP.
In the future we will continue to require a vendor who can provide a full-service model, communicate and adhere to agreed upon service standards, and deliver that service in the context of FCC’s culture.
