Invitation to Tender (ITT) for Construction Services
The Canadian Museum of History (the Museum) is inviting qualified firms to provide Construction Services. The intention of the Museum is to select the Bidder with the lowest compliant Bid who may then be invited to enter into a Contract with the Museum.

The selected Contractor will be required to deliver the Work and Services described in the procurement documents including, but is not necessarily limited to, the supply of labour, material, supervision and equipment necessary to for the repair and insulation of the corroded fresh air duct and the closure of the existing suspended ceiling in the MCH thermal plant.

To be considered, Bids must be received before the Closing Date and Time noted in the MERX ad through the MERX Electronic Bid Submission System. Refer to the Instructions to Bidders for all associated details.

The Security Requirements for this project are identified in the ITT documents.

It is anticipated to provide the Deliverables and complete the work by July 31, 2026. Refer to the procurement documents for further details.

Firms that consider themselves qualified to provide these services are invited to submit their Bids on the forms that are available through MERX or as directed in the procurement documents.

Bids may be submitted in either official language of Canada.

Bidders can obtain the award result once posted on MERX.

Event Note

Bidders are advised that there will be a Mandatory site visit to be held on the date, time and location set out in the covering page of this ITT.

All attendees must meet and sign the registry at the security desk found at the main entrance of the Curatorial building at the CMH.

Failure of a Bidder to attend a Mandatory Site Visit, properly register, sign the Museum Site Visit Sign-In Sheet, arrive on time and remain present for the duration of the Site Visit will entitle the Museum, in its sole discretion, to reject the Bid of that Bidder.

Bidders must be present no later than the established site visit time to be eligible to attend the mandatory site visit and submit a Bid.

Bidders will be notified by Amendment of any changes to the date of the site visit.All individuals attending the site visit must bring their own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as: safety shoes/boots and safety glasses. Individuals without the appropriate PPE will not be permitted to access the site.

Bidders are expected to carefully examine the site, fully inform themselves of the existing conditions and limitations and include in their Bid all costs required to meet the terms of the Contract.
