HRPA is soliciting proposals from qualified search firms to support its Board of Directors in recruiting a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead a team of professionals and volunteers committed to the effective regulation of the HR profession in Ontario. See attached current job description for role specifications.
This request for proposal contains background information on HRPA and specific information that must be included in the quotations submitted. An electronic version of the proposal must be received no later than 5:00 pm on February 13, 2026 (“due date”). Electronic copies must be delivered via email to ceosearch@hrpa.ca.
The CEO search process will commence immediately. An interim CEO (an HRPA Board member) has been appointed to work with the HRPA Executive Leadership Team and the staff in executing Vision 2027.
As part of the procurement process, a short list of qualified executive search firms will be identified, with only a select number invited to present to the Committee. These presentations may be conducted virtually. The selected search firm and its consultant(s) would meet with the CEO Search Committee to outline the firm’s proposed approach to conducting the search for this critical leadership role and to discuss comparable executive searches the firm has successfully undertaken.
Upon delivery of the Award Notice to the selected firm, that firm will be required to execute a contract that will incorporate the enclosed scope of work and may incorporate some or all of the current RFP. The selected firm will have 10 business days to negotiate final contract or the HRPA, in its sole discretion, may rescind the award and may award to a different firm.
The HRPA will require the firm to meet with the CEO Search Committee members to discuss the role in more detail and to initiate the search process after the award by HRPA.
Relevant HRPA information will be made available once consultant is selected:
