019 - Housing & Shelters Advocacy Campaign Implementation

Inuit women and their families continue to experience significant housing insecurity across Inuit Nunangat and Urban centres.  Overcrowding, shortage of safe and affordable housing options and limited access to transitional/shelters and supportive housing are a result of long-standing policy decisions, underinvestment and systematic barriers, which greatly impacts the wellbeing, safety, family unity and access to services.  
Pauktuutit Inuit Women of Canada is seeking experienced and culturally grounded facilitators to deliver/support/engage alongside Pauktuutit staff to present Housing and Shelter research findings and the regionally specific outcomes to Inuit Organizations, Shelter Operators/staff and other stakeholders. These engagements will provide an overview to the four regions in Inuit Nunangat that reflect regional distinctions and priorities that identify policy gaps and actionable recommendations.
