Increased use of prefabricated systems in projects of
Société québécoise des infrastructures

Call for Interest No. AI20250319

This call for interest does not constitute a call for bids or an invitation to bid. Moreover, it does not represent a government direction. The sole purpose of this approach by the Society is to gather information regarding the interest of players in the construction industry in offering the Society the services described.

1. PURPOSE OF THE CALL FOR INTEREST

The Société québécoise des infrastructures (hereinafter the "Society") invites manufacturers and distributors of prefabricated systems (hereinafter the "Respondent") to present their company, the products and services they offer and the conditions conducive to the increased, efficient and sustainable use of their business solutions in the Society's projects.

Suppliers of prefabricated system components are also invited to respond if they believe this will encourage the use of off-site construction in the Society's projects.

This initiative is motivated by a strong desire by the Society and the government to increase the importance of off-site construction in public projects and aims to provide the Society with information to better identify prefabrication opportunities in its projects and create the conditions conducive to their efficient use.

The Society collaborates with other ministries and public organizations to promote off-site construction in public projects, namely: Santé Québec (SQ), the Ministère de l’Éducation (MEQ), the Société d'habitation du Québec (SHQ), the Ministère de la Famille (MFA), the Régie du bâtiment du Québec (RBQ), the Ministère de l'Économie, de l'Innovation et de l'Énergie (MEIE) and the Ministère des Ressources naturelles et des Forêts (MRNF). To this end, the Society will share, with these ministries and organizations, the information collected from Respondents who have consented to it under the terms of section 5.7 of this document.

It is understood that this Call for Interest does not bind the Society into a contract with Respondents because of their participation. Responding to this request for interest is not a condition precedent to entering into a contract or to being allowed to participate in subsequent stages of a potential call for tenders.

2. RULES FOR RESPONDENTS

2.1. Request for information

The Respondent who wishes to receive information or clarification regarding the call for interest may do so, in writing, by contacting the Society's representative at the following email address, taking care to mention the call for interest number, and this before the deadline for receipt of responses, so that the Society has a reasonable time to respond:

The Society obliges the Respondents to contact this person exclusively in the context of this call for interest, unless otherwise indicated by the Society.

2.2. Amendment of the call for interest

The Society reserves the right to make changes to the call for interest documents before the deadline set for receipt of responses or to modify the deadline for receipt of responses. These amendments then become an integral part of the call for interest documents and are transmitted, by means of addenda, to the companies that have obtained the call for interest documents through MERX.

2.3. Language of communication

The response forms (Appendices A and B) to this call for interest, the Respondent documentation and the consent form must all be in French. All responses to the additional information required from the Respondent must also be provided in French.
