202111006 - Locomotive Nose Platform

VIA Rail is looking for a supplier to supply one (1) adjustable height mobile access platforms for locomotive nose for. Montreal Maintenance Center(MMC) and one (1) as option for the Toronto Maintenance Center(TMC). The platforms provide access to work in height, in a safety and efficient manner, during routine maintenance on windshield and other mechanical systems on the nose at VIA Rail.
The scope of work includs the following:
-Design: Whether it`s an existing equipment or a new design, VIA will have to approve the concept. The final design must be stamped by a professional engineer of Quebec or the equipment need to be CSA (or equivalent) certified.
-Fabrication: The supplier fabricates the platforms as per the approved concept. The equipment must be CSA (or equivalent) certified or approved by a professional engineer of Quebec.
-Delivery: The supplier delivers the platforms to MMC and TMC
-Maintenance: The maintenance manual and operation manual are required
To be able to submit a tender, the tenderer must comply with the following mandatory requirements:

• Equipment must be CSA certified
• Final design must be stamped by local professional engineer of Ontario province or Quebec province
• Tenderer or its subcontractor must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in platform conception and fabrication.
