The OFIFC is accepting proposals from consultants with strong facilitation expertise to guide a meaningful, community-driven process toward our next five-year strategic plan. We're looking for someone who can create inclusive, culturally grounded, safe spaces and a participatory planning process that supports strong governance, sustainability, and future-focused leadership, engaging our Board, community members, and youth.
The ideal consultant demonstrates a strong understanding of the realities of urban Indigenous communities, the work of Friendship Centers (FC), and how to gather feedback in a respectful and collaborative manner. Leading to transforming community voices into a clear, actionable, and visionary plan, that is reflective of the priorities and aspirations of Friendship Centres
What We're Looking for;
- Experienced community-based facilitation skills that is rooted in respect, collaboration, and inclusive of Indigenous cultural values
- Engagement sessions with FC's Board, community members, and youth
- Demonstrated understanding of urban Indigenous contexts and the ability to work in a respectful, and culturally grounded way.
- Ability to synthesize community input into a concrete, strategic, and achievable plan
- Development of a 5year strategic plan ready for approval by July 2026 for the OFIFC's Annual General Meeting.
