Description

The Amsterdam pedestrian bridge (the “Amsterdam Bridge”) is located on the Harbourfront Centre campus, spans Marina 4 at the Simcoe Street slip, and connects York Quay to the Rees Street slip. The Amsterdam Bridge has been closed to pedestrians since early 2021, following the removal of its lift span. Situated approximately 100 meters south of 235 and 245 Queen’s Quay West, the Amsterdam Bridge is both a functional pedestrian crossing and a notable landmark, representing the civic and cultural partnership between Toronto and Amsterdam.
The required work includes rehabilitation to restore the Amsterdam Bridge to serviceable condition and permit pedestrian traffic.
