Description

The Purchaser is seeking Proposals from qualified and experienced Proponents for the provision of student kits to support students in the following School of Nursing programs:

Personal Support Worker (PSW)
Practical Nursing (PN) – Year I & II
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) – Year I & II

It is the intention of the Purchaser to award one Proponent for this procurement process. A Proponent must be able to supply every item required for each student lab kit mentioned in Schedule B: Specifications and Scope of Work. If a Proponent is unable to provide every item required for each student kit based on the specifications mentioned, the Proponent may not be considered.

Any specific Goods mentioned and described are for the purpose of establishing and describing general performance and quality levels, unless otherwise specified to meet required accredited clinical setting standards. Such references are not intended to be restrictive, and Proponents are invited to quote on equivalent Goods (of equal or better quality) of any manufacturer. Any alternate type of Good must be of equal or greater quality with the same or better features and meet the requirements mentioned herein. If Goods, other than the ones specified are proposed, the Proponent must provide the detailed specifications of the alternate Good with a detailed comparative analysis of the suggested equivalent substitute Good. The Purchaser shall be the sole judge concerning the merits of Proposals submitted. Equivalent Goods will be subject to Purchaser approval. The Purchaser reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to reject any substitute Goods.

The Preferred Proponent must be able to provide all the student kits for the fall, winter, and spring semester as indicated. The Preferred Proponent will be responsible for assembling each student kit. Student kits must be assembled prior to delivery. The kits must be delivered in a timely manner before the start of each semester as follows:

Fall student kits must be delivered by the last week of August
Winter student kits must be delivered by the third week of December
Spring student kits must be delivered by the last week of April

Student Lab Kits Required
1. Personal Support Worker (PSW) Program

PSW Student Kit – Fall, Winter, and Spring semester

2. Practical Nursing (PN) Program – Year I

Health Assessment Lab Kit – Fall semester
Wound Care Lab Kit and Injections Lab Kit – Winter semester

3. Practical Nursing (PN) Program – Year II

Catheter Lab Kit – Fall semester
Intravenous Lab Kit and Tracheostomy Lab Kit – Winter semester

4. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) Program – Year I

Health Assessment Lab Kit – Fall semester
Wound Care Lab Kit – Winter semester

5. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) Program – Year II

Wound Care Lab Kit, Injections Lab Kit, and Catheter Lab Kit – Fall semester
Catheter Lab Kit, Intravenous Lab Kit, and Tracheostomy Lab Kit – Winter semester
