Description

The Agilent Bravo Automated Liquid Handling Platform is a liquid handling platform packaged in a small footprint. Our group has developed several high-throughput virological assays and the capacity to perform small-scale Viral Sensitizer screens in-house. Our current screening infrastructure includes a BSL2-enclosed 8-channel liquid handler. However, in order to facilitate similar large-scale screens at the OHRI, we aim to purchase Agilent’s automated liquid handling platform, the Bravo SRT, a 96/384 channel, nine plate platform liquid handler with a footprint that is amenable to placement in a traditional 4-foot BioSafety Cabinet (BSC), the dimensions of which are highlighted in the Essential Requirements section below. The BSC containing the Bravo SRT will be located in a dedicated virus room within the Centre for Cancer Therapeutics building and is an absolute requirement due to our work with Biocontainment Level 2 pathogens.
