Description

On February 9, 2018, the University of Ottawa Heart Institute issued a letter of intent to give advance notice to the supplier community of an upcoming innovative procurement opportunity for the Cardiac Implantable Electronic Device (CIED) initiative. This initiative aimed to assess the impact of reducing post-operative cardiac infection rates on patient outcomes and health system utilization across care settings by testing a value-based procurement approach through a gain and risk-sharing model. The University of Ottawa Heart Institute wishes to inform vendors that this initiative has been cancelled.
