2019_07_26 RFP - Cost Consulting Services - New Student Residence and Academic Building

Trinity College is seeking professional Cost Consulting services related to the design and construction of a new mixed use academic and residential building on the Trinity College campus located within the University of Toronto’s St. George campus. Given the method of project delivery using a hybrid Construction Management method with sequential tendering to meet a tight timeline, Trinity College requires responsive and flexible Cost Consulting services to provide a check and balance to the Construction Manager’s budget. The architectural team for the project has been selected and the pre-design activities are underway by the successful architectural joint-venture team – Mecanoo and RDH Architects. Please refer to Appendix A of the RFP document for excerpts from the Architectural Services RFP, which detail the scope and scale of the project.

The Cost Consultant will be expected to provide costing advice to Trinity College regarding feasibility of options related to early design decisions, such as the potential re-design or refurbishment of existing theatre space and redevelopment of food services facilities, as well as costing services throughout the course of the design and construction.
