This RFP is an invitation by Turner & Townsend, on behalf of Conestoga College for the purpose of the appointment of a suitably qualified and experienced Proponent to provide Construction Management Services for the Conestoga College Skilled Trades Campus Phase 2 project.
The succesful proponent will enter into a CCDC 5B contract with Conestoga and will provide the services outlined in this RFP.
The project proposed at Conestoga College – Reuter Drive Campus entails the construction of the second phase buildings for trades and apprenticeships. This includes a gross floor area of 20,594 m2 inclusive of multiple academic workshops, labs, recreation centres, and facilities, with a construction budget of $130,000,000. The construction will include siteworks including structural fill or other engineered soil improvements, grading, servicing, paving, landscaping. Building construction will include reinforce concrete, structural steel, and cross laminated timber decking (in select locations). Most of the exterior cladding is masonry veneer with a modest amount of architectural precast veneer. (no industrial tilt up precast panels). The roofing is ballasted PV roof top panel array. A geothermal system is being implemented on this building in conjunction with other mechanical and electrical systems. The interior fit up is proposed at an adequate level to support an education and amenity space program.
