DESCRIPTION OF PROCUREMENT
The University is conducting an RFP for Laser-Based Directed Energy Deposition System.
The University of Toronto seeks to acquire a wire-fed Directed Energy Deposition (DED) additive manufacturing system to advance research on materials under extreme thermo-mechanical conditions and next-generation additive manufacturing. The system will be used to accelerate material discovery, optimize processing windows, and enhance the properties of novel alloys for high-performance applications.
The procurement is anticipated to involve negotiation. An electronic auction is not anticipated.

Submissions must be submitted electronically at https://utoronto.bonfirehub.ca/ on or before Tuesday, December 09, 2025 (2:00 PM local time). The submissions will not be opened publicly.
