DESCRIPTION OF PROCUREMENT

Wireless and LAN Upgrade at Knox College Residence. This includes building the network infrastructure, commissioning and operating the network systems. Knox College Residence is upgrading the wireless infrastructure by completing the following:
• Construction of four (4) LAN rooms and the installation of fiber optic cabling from the BEF Room 068.
• The project includes removal of outdated coaxial cables, creation of LAN rooms, installation of wall-mounted racks, compliant electrical and grounding systems, and secure access controls.
• The University will supply the access points and will coordinate with the Success Proponent to make these available prior to installation. The make and model of the access point is to be confirmed during negotiations or contract finalization with the top-ranked Proponent.
• Floor plans and other diagrams for the Knox College Residence are included as part of the RFP.

The procurement is anticipated to involve negotiation. An electronic auction is not anticipated

Submissions must be submitted electronically at https://utoronto.bonfirehub.ca/ on or before Monday, January 26, 2026 (2:00 PM local time). The submissions will not be opened publicly.

This procurement is subject to the following trade agreement(s):

The Canadian Free Trade Agreement, Chapter Five
The Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement, Chapter 19

CONTRACT DETAILS
The term of the Agreement will be for one year with no extension option.

Proponents are strongly encouraged to attend the site visit to inspect the site and gain better understanding of the requirements. A maximum of two (2) representatives per Proponent are allowed to attend the site visit.
