Description

The University of Toronto is seeking responses to this RFP from qualified Architects for professional services relating to the Lash Miller Computer Lab Renovation at the St. George campus.
The Lash Miller Computer Lab Renovation is a secondary effect project relating to the Temerty Faculty of Medicine Division of Teaching Laboratories (DTL) Ramsay Wright Staging Project. The DTL will be relocated to Ramsay Wright in 2024 to facilitate the JLTB West Wing Project.
As a well-used research and teaching laboratory facility, staging opportunities in Ramsay Wright (RW) are being created through a series of relocations and reallocations both within and outside of the building. As part of that work, two existing computer labs will be relocated from Ramsay Wright to Lash Miller.
Located on the first floor, this project includes a total of 246.49 NASM of renovated area.

Event Note

A site tour is scheduled for August 18, 2022 at 11:00AM. Please assemble at Lash Miller lobby (off St. George
Street). The purpose of the tour is to provide all Proponents with an opportunity to view the existing conditions of the Project. Please note that attendance at the tour is optional and the University will maintain and release a record of attendance.
Attendees at the optional site tour must wear Personal Protective Equipment (Safety Boots, hard hats) as well as a non-medical facial mask. Physical distancing must be practiced at all times.
Any questions arising from the tour must be sent, via email, to the contact mentioned in Part A.9 of the RFP and will be answered via addendum. Answers provided to questions made during the site tour shall not be formal and should not be relied upon as official.

Additional Bidding Instructions

Proponents shall upload one (1) electronic copy (.pdf format) to MERX. The cover sheet of the proposal will bear the Proponent’s name together with the Project name and number and the words “Proposal Submission P073-22-003: Lash Miller Computer Lab Renovation” clearly marked. Key components of the proposal are listed in Part
E: Submission Requirements.
Proposals shall be addressed to the contact listed in A.9 – Inquiries.
Proposals shall be uploaded to MERX before 3:00:00 PM on September 1, 2022 (the “Submission Deadline”):
The term “local time” shall mean the time as measured by the time clock maintained by MERX.
Submissions received after the Submission Deadline will not be considered. No exceptions will be made in the case of late delivery - including but not limited to – internet connection problems.
Each Proponent is responsible for the upload of its Proposal to MERX. Proposals transmitted by email or sent by any other electronic means will not be considered. Proponents will not be able to upload their proposals after the submission deadline. Late submissions will not be accepted via any other means. No exceptions will be made in the case of late delivery - including but not limited to – internet connection problems.
