This Request for Proposal (RFP) Part A is an invitation by Waterloo EDC (Waterloo Region Economic Development Corporation) to prospective proponents to submit a proposal for the research of Waterloo’s priority clusters, as well as the research and commercialization activities for each cluster. Waterloo EDC will hire a consultant with economic development expertise to define the cluster(s), research and compile the full inventory of companies in each cluster, logos, areas of expertise, as well as the research and commercialization information that applies to each cluster. The selected consultant will also update and supplement Waterloo EDC’s existing Autotech Cluster Map with additional companies, and develop the additional Research and Commercialization component.
In addition to this request, Waterloo EDC is also issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) Part B: Design of Cluster Maps. Waterloo EDC will hire a qualified proponent to develop and design a one-page (front and back) cluster map using the information collected through the completion of this request.
Proponents are welcome to submit proposals for both Part A and B; however, a submission of a separate budget and work plan for each component is required.
