P2400009 - Adaptable housing guide and associated costing

The contractor will develop a technical guide that supports adaptable housing for new construction and its associated costs to be used by Accessibility Standards Canada and interested jurisdictions across Canada. The contractor will provide expertise to Pan-Canadian Forum on Accessibility Standards to support a wide use of the guide in Canada.
Contractor needs significant knowledge, experience and expertise related to:  [10 years experience with built environment including houses and 3 years accessibility related to the built environment] Depth and breadth of technical expertise related to accessibility and the built environment including recent and significant work/research related to international/provincial/territorial standards, National Building Code, model codes and standard development for accessibility and implementing Codes;

1. [minimum of 5 years experience with detailed examples that demonstrate experience] Demonstrate knowledge, experience and expertise related to the built environment including houses, health and safety aspects, combined with national and provincial/territorial Building and Fire Codes and an ability to address and protect the health and safety of persons with a disability.
2. [within last 3 years with detailed examples that demonstrate experience] Demonstrate experience in supporting construction industry, jurisdictions, or communities to work through outstanding issues relates to the built environment and accessibility.
3. [minimum of 5 years experience with detailed examples that demonstrate experience] Demonstrate Knowledge and experience in collaborating with key stakeholders in the built environment and house construction in Canada.
4. [within last 3 years with detailed examples that demonstrate experience] Demonstrate experience writing report or guide on the Built Environment including houses using plain language.
